Underwriting director and Chief Operating Officer
Alistair joined ITIM in March 2001 as an account executive, initially focusing on claims and underwriting of ITIC's members in Central and South America. In July 2006 Alistair became a director of ITIM and General Manager. In 2012 he came the Chief Operating Officer and then in 2015 added Underwriting director to his job title – the longest in ITIM history !
Andrew is ITIM's Claims director and has been with ITIC since its foundation in 1992. Previously he had been employed by one of ITIC's predecessors, CISBACLUB, and as an in house lawyer at a container leasing company. Andrew has handled claims against shipbrokers, ship agents and ship managers since 1990.
Charlotte joined ITIC in 1992 having previously worked at CISBACLUB, one of ITIC's predecessors. Charlotte is ITIC's commercial director and is the account executive responsible for ITIC's members in Scandinavia, Cyprus, Israel and the UK (West Country).
Senior account executive
Ilka works as an account executive for ITIC focusing on the German market. Ilka is a lawyer and underwriter and has worked in Sydney for some of ITIC's members in their claims departments and practiced as a solicitor in a maritime law firm in Sydney.
Ilka speaks German, as her native language, English and Spanish.
Broker development manager & senior account executive
Kevin joined Thomas Miller in 1987 and joined ITIM as a Senior Account Executive in 2007.
Prior to this he worked for Thomas Miller's largest marine mutual business, the UK P&I Club, focusing predominantly on client services in Turkey and the South American region.
Director & legal advisor
Mark is ITIM's Legal Advisor. He is a solicitor and joined ITIM in 2004. Mark qualified at Shaw and Croft (now part of Gately LLP) in 2000 and then spent 3 years at Beaumont and Son (now part of Clyde & Co LLP).
Matthew joined ITIM in November 2010, as an Account Executive.
He joined ITIC from a UK national insurance broker and is responsible for underwriting and claims for Germany, Africa, the Middle East, Portugal & Gibraltar.
Matthew started his career with the Steam Ship Mutual P&I Club initially in claims and subsequently underwriting, before moving to a UK broking role with Giles Insurance.
Matthew is the Sector Head responsible for ITIC’s rail business.
Melanie joined ITIM in January 2011 after having worked as a Senior PI Broker for 4 years for a national broker in the North West. Prior to working as a PI broker, Melanie worked as a European Claims Handler for a major insurer.
Prior to joining ITIM in October 2010, Robert was a claims executive for 3 years with the TT Club, another business managed by the Thomas Miller group. He moved to ITIM as an Account Executive in October 2010.
Chief Executive Officer
After graduating in Law at London School of Economics (LSE) Stuart joined Thomas Miller as a Claims Executive for the UK P&I Club in 1985. In 1990 he joined the managers of TIM, one of ITIC's predecessors, and is currently the Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") and is therefore responsible for the running of ITIC to the Board of Directors and the membership as a whole. Stuart is also an executive director of ITIC.
Chief Financial Officer
Tim qualified as a Chartered Accountant and then spent time in the Investigations Department of Grant Thornton, Chartered Accountants.
He has spent much of his career within the corporate side of Thomas Miller as Group Financial Controller.
In 2009, he became Finance Director of ITIM, the managers of ITIC.
Director & general manager
Tom joined ITIM as an Account Executive in 2011 having spent three years in Thomas Miller's Sydney office.
During his time in Sydney, Tom handled a wide range of property and liability claims for the TT Club's Australasian members. These included claims involving damage to members' property caused by ship impact, freight forwarders' liability claims and personal injury claims. He also handled claims for ITIC and the UK P&I Club, as a correspondent, and worked for a year in the TT Club underwriting team.
