Thomas Miller Sydney - Meet the team

Thomas Miller Sydney was Thomas Miller’s first office outside of London and was opened in 1976. It provides commercial correspondence services for the UK P&I Club in Australia and manages TT Club’s business for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. The Sydney office has been involved with ITIC since 1995 during which it has assisted in claims on behalf of ship agents, marine surveyors, shipbrokers and naval architects. The Sydney office is active in supporting ITIC business in Australia through industry bodies, in particular SAL (Shipping Australia).

Rhys Richards: Underwriting

Rhys joined TT Club as an Underwriter in July 2016 having trained as a Shipowners P&I Underwriter in London from 2011. In 2014 he moved to Sydney to continue his Underwriting career in the agriculture sector before returning to the shipping industry with TT Club.

Alvina Resaul: Underwriting

Alvina started her insurance career in the UK in 2004 before moving to Sydney in 2012. She has had varied experience in claims, broking and underwriting within general and marine insurance, and settled into TT Club as an Underwriter after nearly a decade in the multinational corporate broking space.

Henry Steindl: Underwriting

Henry earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Sydney, with studies in Chemistry, Engineering, and Agricultural Economics. He started as a graduate trainee at a commercial insurer in Sydney in 2015 and advanced to senior underwriter in the marine team, focusing on business development, relationship management, strategic initiatives, technical underwriting, and leadership.
