Insurance brokers and ITIC

Over 80% of ITIC’s annual premium is produced by insurance brokers and as such the insurance broking community is a very vital part of what makes ITIC the successful insurance company that it is.

ITIC Account Executives often give presentations in the areas they travel to and are also available to give a presentation in your office either to you on an individual basis or to a group. Likewise, they can attend any meetings with you and your clients if it assists in clarifying the nature of the cover. We are here to help you as much as our Members, so that we can look to a bright future together.

ITIC insurance broker publications

ITIC’s website contains a dedicated insurance broker services area which allows for faster access to other key areas of the site. It has links to all of the areas which you may need to refer to, such as the proposal forms, rule book, fact sheets and details on ITIC’s finances. It also has a new FAQ section, where commonly asked questions are answered.

The website also has a dedicated knowledge zone which is a store of claims examples paid by ITIC and other useful articles. These claims warnings are categorised by sector.

The suite of ITIC fact sheets is available for download. There are nine insured service specific fact sheets, which outline the cover ITIC provide and give claims examples. These fact sheets cover shipbroking, ship agency, ship management, aviation, hydrographics, offshore, marine claims professionals and naval architecture.

The general fact sheet provides financial and factual information about ITIC for 2014 and is available in English, French, Spanish, German and Italian. Should you require hard copies of these please contact Emma Leworthy.

The fact sheets are not the only publications which have been translated, as ITIC’s website has also been translated into German. This separate site includes translated versions of key pages and downloadable documents, with the rest of the site being in English.
