The Wire: focus on Australia

Welcome to the latest edition of ITIC's The Wire, focusing on Australia. ITIC currently supports 362 members in Australia, with a premium income of over US$4,000,000, making it the second largest country by member number (UK in first) and 4th overall in terms of total premium.

ITIC’s dedicated Account Executives for Australia, Robert Sniffen (responsible for NSW, WA, SA, VIC, TAS, NT and ACT) and Rory McKay (responsible for QLD) had a fantastic time catching up with members and insurance brokers in Sydney, Brisbane, Cairns and Perth.

This edition highlights claims examples from a range of business areas including ship agency and naval architecture, arising from real life situations that ITIC has paid and offered support with. There is also an article featuring insights from the aviation sector, emphasising risks often encountered by ITIC’s Australian members.

Finally, the Thomas Miller Sydney office, established in 1976, continues to be a cornerstone of operations, providing essential services and supporting ITIC through industry bodies like SAL (Shipping Australia). You can virtually meet the team in this issue of The Wire.

We hope you find this edition informative and engaging. Thank you for your continued support.
