There are two exciting opportunities to join the ITIC team, the world’s leading provider of professional indemnity insurance for the transport industry, managed by Thomas Miller. We are recruiting for a senior account executive and an account executive (we are considering both those relatively new to the industry or even graduates for the account executive role). 

ITIC – Account Executive 

Working Arrangements: Monday to Friday, 0900 - 1700
Location: London
Flexible working: On completion of probationary period – two days WFH (optional)

We are looking for a driven, energetic individual to take this role and make it their own, within a successful environment.

Overall Objective of Role: 

Account executives at ITIC are responsible for marketing, claims and underwriting for a portfolio of assureds in a geographic area. It is a unique and exciting role in the industry

Main Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite allocated accounts and geographical regions (both domestically and internationally)
  • Travel to the regions for which you are responsible
  • Develop long-term relationships and in-depth knowledge for your portfolio of assureds
  • Negotiate renewals and new business.
  • Provide claims handling services and advice 
  • Write new material for ITIC and industry publications.

Person Specification:

  • Up to 5 years working in the marine and transport sector (either in operations or claims), or a newly qualified solicitor.
  • Graduates from a bachelors or masters level degree with a speciality in marine and transport or law will also be considered.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills.
  • A second language would be an advantage.
  • Ability to develop good working relationships across all levels of seniority.
  • Able to operate effectively within a team environment.
  • A strong personal drive to succeed.
  • Effective at working under pressure and balancing competing workload demands.

  • Strong analytical and organisational skills.
  • A second language would be an advantage.
  • Ability to develop good working relationships across all levels of seniority.
  • Able to operate effectively within a team environment.
  • A strong personal drive to succeed.
  • Ability to speak publically.
  • Effective at working under pressure and balancing competing workload demands.
