Charity event: Tom Irving and Duncan Mann abseiled down The Broadgate Tower for The Sailors' Society

On Sunday 7th June, fearless (some may say crazy…) ITIC Senior Account Executives Tom Irving and Duncan Mann joined a group of others to throw themselves off a skyscraper in the city of London.

Luckily, they were safely harnessed into position with ropes, as they were bravely taking part in a charity abseil, 540ft down The Broadgate Tower.

The inaugural abseil was in aid of The Sailors’ Society, with the funds raised going to support projects around the world including the Society's 'Gift of Education' Fund providing education, computers and transport for seafarers' children, and the 'Gift of Welfare' fund which will include connectivity for seafarers’ families.

In total, to date, the charity abseil has helped to raise over £33,000, with the amount still increasing.

Tom and Duncan also exceeded their fundraising target, raising a total of just over £1,700.

Thank you so much to everyone who supported this worthy cause.

The deadline for donations is 7th July: https://www.justgiving.com/ITIC-Abseil/
