ITIC Europe: one year on

Small but mighty

ITIC Europe currently comprises a dedicated team of five professionals: Charlotte Kirk (CEO), Elena Evriviadou (EU Underwriter), Mikaela Koni (EU Senior Claims Executive), Marios Papadakis (EU CFO), and Stavroula Demetriou (Accountant). Together, we form a dynamic unit based in Cyprus, committed to delivering exceptional service to members across the EU.

Exceptional events 

Throughout the year, the team have actively engaged with the industry and members through a series of successful events. In April, we hosted a brokers’ drinks reception in Cyprus, which provided a valuable opportunity to connect informally with the local insurance broker community. May saw the organisation of a well-received seminar focused on crew management, and in October, we welcomed members from across Europe and beyond to our Maritime Cyprus 2025 reception. We’ve also delivered bespoke seminars tailored to individual members’ needs, often hosted at their offices. 

Collaboration is key 

Our collaboration with the London team remains strong and seamless. We regularly visit our colleagues in London and welcome them to Cyprus, fostering close working relationships and team cohesion. Training and professional development are key priorities, and our team has participated in seminars and workshops both locally and abroad to stay abreast of industry developments.

We are proud members of several professional organisations, including the Cyprus Marine Club (CMC), WISTA Cyprus, where Mikaela serves on the board, YoungShip Cyprus, and the Cyprus International Business Association. Our presence at networking events, annual galas such as the dinners, and AGMs of these organisations has helped raise ITIC Europe’s profile and strengthen our industry connections.

Going the extra mile 

Outside of the office, the team, alongside colleagues from UK Defence Club, took part in the Cyprus Corporate Marathon in March, and we were also invited to participate in the 31st Cyprus Shipping Rally by Northern Lloyd Insurance Brokerage Services Ltd. We also had the pleasure of participating in the Charity Padel Tournament hosted by Globalstar Insurance Brokers, supporting the charity FunRaising and their incredible work for children in need.

Focused on the future

As we look ahead, ITIC Europe remains focused on growth, member engagement, and delivering the highest standards of service. We are excited about the future and proud of what we’ve achieved in our first year.
