Robin Travis scholarship awarded for 2011

The successful applicant for this year’s Robin Travis scholarship is a young insurance broker, Mr Yik S. Yan.
Hamburg-based Mr Yan has been a broker with Döhle Assekuranzkontor for the past three and a half years. Prior to joining the Peter Döhle group he had earned his broking qualifications with Allianz Versicherungs AG in Hamburg.
Mr Yan is looking forward particularly to developing his knowledge of P&I but also to deepen his understanding of marine insurance in general. To date he has primarily been responsible for dealing with hull and machinery and loss of hire insurances for Döhle clients.
He comes to us with excellent references and we look forward to his arrival at the London office of Thomas Miller in September this year.
